Alhaj Mohammed Hasan was elected unanimously as Chairman of Executive Committee (EC) of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited in the 104th meeting of the Board of Directors held on June 03, 2009 at its board room. In the same meeting, Alhaj Syed Nurul Arefeen was elected unanimously as the Vice Chairman of the same committee.

Newly elected EC Chairman Alhaj Mohammad Hasan, a renowned industrialist and businessman was born in a respectable muslim family in the old City of Dhaka in 1971. He Obtained MBA degree from Stamford University and started his business in 1991. He is the Chairman of Famous Iberchem Flavours & Fragrances Ltd., Managing Director of Famous Printing & Packages Limited, F.S. Printing and Packaging Ltd., H & R Universe Impex Ltd. and H & R Knitting & Dying Ltd., H & R Land development Ltd., H & R Share Management Ltd., H & R Agro Complex Ltd. and Director of Prime Insurance Co. Ltd., Famous Perfumery Suppliers, Famous General Agencies, Green Soap & Chemical Co. Ltd., South East University, Eden Multicare Hospital Ltd. The Daily Naya Diganta, Diganta Media Ltd. and Universal Health Services & Research Ltd. He is the Vice President of BPGMA.

The elected EC Vice Chairman Alhaj Syed Nurul Arefeen was born in 1962 in a Syed family of Pach Elachin Village of Delduar Upazila under Tangail District. He obtained honours degree in Accounting from University of Dhaka in 1988 and MBA from Deemed University, Lakhnou, India. He is the Distributor of Birla Tyres of India and Proprietor of Solar Trading Co., Solar Precured Tyre Retreating Co. and Solar Transport Co. He is also the Managing Partner of Solar Autos Co. and Solar Telecommunications and Acting Managing Director of Universal Yarn Dyeing Ltd. He is a member of DCCI and life member of Tangail Zilla Samity. Prominent social worker, Mr. Arefeen is the Governor’s Adviser of Lions Club International-District 315 B/3 and Treasurer of Gregorian Association.
