To extend smooth services to the growing number of capital market customers, the Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) has shifted its Brokerage House "Capital Market Services Division" to a new premises at Karim Chamber, 99 Motijheel Commercial Area, Dhaka on 25th January 2009. The Sponsor Shareholder of the Bank Alhaj Md. Sanaullah Shahid inaugurated the relocated Brokarage House as the chief guest.
Among others, Chairman of the Board of Directors Alhaj Akkasuddin Mollah, Vice Chairman Alhaj Syed Nurul Arefeen, Directors Engr. Md. Towhidur Rahman and Alhaj Abdul Halim, Sponsor Shareholder Alhaj Mohammad Hasan, Managing Director Mr. Muhammad Ali, Additional Managing Director Mr. Md. Jillur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director Mr. Md. Mukhter Hossain and Member of Sharjah Council of SJIBL Mufti Maulona Mohammed Nuruddin and a good number of clients and well-wishers were present in the ceremony. A Doa Mahfil was held at the branch premises on this occasion.
Participated by all branch managers, deputy managers, head and in-charge of various division of head Office of the bank, the workshop was addressed among others, as guest speakers from Bangladesh Bank, Mr. Md. Mofizuddin Chowdhury, General Manager, Mr. S. M. Rabiul Hasan, Deputy General Manager and Mr. Md. Zahir Hussain, Deputy Director of Deptt. of Offsite Supervision. Deputy Managing Directors of the bank Mr. Md. Jillur Rahman and Mr. Md. Mukhter Hossain were also present.
The speakers highlighted six dimensions of the Uniform Financial Rating Systems particularly on Capital Adequacy, Assets Quality, Management Standard, Earnings, Liquidity and Sensitivity. The core objective of the workshop was to disseminate knowledge on the techniques and tools on improving the performance of a bank.
